Rome IX is a Canadian Indie-Soul artist . A musician, actor and aspiring filmmaker, the multidisciplinary artist currently resides in Calgary. “Forever a student of the human condition”, Rome says he draws inspiration from personal and observed experiences. His love for deep lyrics, storytelling and soulful arrangements is influenced by artists such as Jason Mraz, Miguel, and Stevie Wonder. Whether performing in a band, solo acoustic sets, or live-looping, Rome feels at home on stage, where he “feels like I am able to connect with people in a way that I can’t in conversation”. His first production credit on the song “Deep In My Heart” was for Trinidadian Gospel artist Mekaiel. After majoring in Guitar at Red Deer College, he went on to study sound engineering at The Beach Studios. His music and productions have been used in local short films and by local Calgary artists such as Zacarias & Twizzie Ramos.
